The variety shown is Rhododendron Rosa Mundi (Rosamundi) which first appeared in the1830’s.  It is a small plant, good for planters which flowers very early. (January, although it is flowering in November this year on the west coast)

Price for the size of Rhododendron shown in a square stoneware container is $150 U.S.
